Megan + Phil
September 5, 2020
Venue Chisca | Peoria, IL
Meg + Phil's wedding day was stunning from the beginning to the end. Meg was so thoughtful in all of the little details throughout the day. From the design of their signature font and coordinating colors, to the incorporation of their first dance song, to their vendor choices and desserts - I absolutely loved their whole day! It's always such an honor to coordinate wedding days, and Meg + Phil's day was no different. Their families were so nice, their wedding party was so fun, and I was so inspired by their wedding day. And I can't forget - their vendor team was amazing. Enjoy!

Meg and her beautiful bridesmaids started off their morning cheers-ing mimosas and getting their hair & makeup done by the talented Pair Bridal team. A special part of Meg's morning was her matron of honor, Taylor, styling her hair. You'll notice Meg + Phil's wedding day was thoughtfully put together, down to the smallest details. Meg is a graphic designer! Keep an eye out for her signature font on all of the paper goods and the blush tones and varying shades of green incorporated throughout their day!
Phil and his groomsmen started off their day by playing basketball - did you watch the wedding day film by ParkLife Films? If not, scroll right back up and watch it! Doing something on the morning of your wedding day really helps to release your nerves. Definitely a great idea for the guys, since they don't take as long to get ready! The guys met back up at their hotel to get ready, and Phil read his letter from Meg privately before meeting her at Venue Chisca for their first look.
Meg had a first look with her dad, and it was so sweet! She gifted him a handkerchief that read "all dressed up in lace and pearls, on my wedding day, I'm still your little girl." Cue the tears! Phil arrived from the hotel, and Meg and Phil shared their first look on Venue Chisca's patio as well. When Phil saw Meg, he said, "Wow, you look good!" to which Meg replied, "Just good?!" Haha! Seriously, have you watched their film? I absolutely love the photos of Meg mid-laugh because it truly shows just how joyful their day was as a whole (look for more big smiles during their ceremony!). Their cute pup, Luna, joined them for a few quick photos before they left for Luthy Botanical Gardens!
Brace yourself, because Jarod from Schilling Photography captured Meg + Phil's wedding party photos at Luthy Botanical Gardens so well! Meg + Phil are basically models in my eyes now. Talk about naturals behind the camera! It was such a beautiful day for the most deserving couple. I am still SO in love with Meg's bouquet from Heaven on Earth, and combined with her dress, hair, and makeup... wow!
While Meg + Phil were getting ready and taking photos, I was working behind the scenes to set up their ceremony and reception spaces. Meg and Phil had a beautiful memorial table, thoughtful masks and color-coded wristbands for their guests, and individual hand sanitizers labeled "Spread LOVE not germs." Their flower girls and ring bearer did such great jobs! Their officiant had one of the most personal and touching speech during their ceremony, and their vows were perfect. Can you just feel the happiness through the photos?
