Are you not sure if hiring a wedding planner is necessary? Here are seven reasons why I think you should consider hiring one!
I’ll be honest, I didn’t hire a wedding planner for my wedding! I really enjoy organization, spreadsheets, and checklists. That’s why I’m passionate about wedding planning! If those things don’t sound fun to you, you probably won’t enjoy the intense attention to detail that wedding planning requires. And that’s okay!
Use your money wisely and spend smarter! The average wedding costs $30k. That’s no small amount! Your wedding planner will know how to stretch every dollar to ensure your wedding day is as memorable and lovely as you!
You could also look at the 6-18 months and say “Wow, that’s so much time!” ... until you’re 3 months away from your wedding day and you’re up to your ears in deadlines. (In this scenario, check out my Wedding Day Coordination package 😉) Be honest with yourself and what you’re capable of doing, and really consider where you want to spend your time!
Are you trying to juggle everyone’s input and then, all of the sudden, even setting a date seems impossible? Planning the happiest day of your life shouldn’t be this hard, but sometimes it is. Your wedding planner can help you look at all of your options - objectively - before you have to make a decision.
Planning a party for all of your family and friends is daunting! You were picky with your ceremony location, venue, florists and photographers. The big-ticket ones. But it doesn’t stop there! DJs, caterers, transportation, hotel blocks... and don’t even think about everything you need to add to your registry! Let your wedding planner slowly guide you through the process, because it’s not going to be finished all in one day!
Real life example 🙋🏼♀️ I had three great-grandparents that couldn’t travel to the ceremony on my wedding day. Because it was so important to my husband and me to see them, we planned enough time in our day to visit them between the ceremony and the reception. I would love to sit down and discuss not only what is most important to you both as a couple, but also how that can realistically be achieved on your wedding day!
This comes in handy in so many different ways! Whether it’s comparing venues or saving you time by recommending reliable vendors, having a planner is so beneficial. It’s especially important to have someone with experience present in case any last minute challenges come up on your wedding day!
This is a day you will remember for the rest of your life! Be proactive, not reactive. Remember this day because it was full of joy, not stress!
Taking all of this into consideration, it's obvious that I (a wedding planner) will tell you it's a good idea to consider hiring one. In all honesty, I didn't hire a wedding planner because I was willing and able to do all of the work myself. That doesn't mean that everyone needs to plan their own wedding by themselves! You can still plan your own wedding - I am just here to make it simpler, easier, and way less overwhelming.
Thank you so much for reading! I'd truly love to hear your thoughts & feedback.
Happy planning!
